Medium-term housing purchased for tornado victims

FRANKFORT, Ky. — There are hundreds of transitional housing on the way to western Kentucky to help those of you who lost your home or apartment to the December tornadoes.

Governor Andy Beshear announced the purchase of 200 camper travel trailers to serve as medium-term housing for families displaced by the deadly storms.

Beshear says that this is the next step in ensuring that our community stays in tact and that displaced families are offered some convenience when getting to school and work.

Families with young and school-aged children will be the first to receive access to these trailers, followed by those staying at state parks and hotels.

Beshear says these trailers will be available over the next couple of weeks.
