McLean County man arrested on drug possession, reckless driving charges in Central City

CENTRAL CITY, Ky. – A McLean County man is charged with multiple driving offenses and drug possession following a traffic stop in Muhlenberg County.

According to KSP, a trooper observed a car traveling 96 MPH in a 55 MPH zone on US 431 near Central City at approximately 7:25 pm Tuesday.

The trooper says the car fled a traffic stop before stopping in a driveway on N. 1st Street.

The driver was identified as 18-year-old Briar Bolton, of Island.

KSP says Bolton is charged with speeding 26 MPH or more over the limit, reckless driving, fleeing or evading, wanton endangerment of a police officer, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, and drug-related charges.

Bolton was lodged at the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
