Man dies after dirt bike crash in Clay County

MANCHESTER, Ky. – One man is dead following a reported dirt bike crash in Clay County on Tuesday.
According to the Kentucky State Police, troopers received a call reporting a single-vehicle injury collision involving a motorcycle on Kentucky 484 in Manchester.
Upon arrival, authorities say a preliminary investigation indicates troopers learned 37-year-old Roger L. Trent of Sizemore was operating a dirt bike southbound on KY 484. During this time, Trent negotiated a sharp left-handed turn before hitting a fallen tree in the road, authorities say.
Trent was ejected from the dirt bike, troopers say. Authorities say he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Trent was was pronounced dead on scene by the Clay County Coroner’s Office.
The collision remains under investigation.
