Woman arrested on drug charges in Glasgow

The Glasgow Police Department arrested one woman after they say they discovered nearly 3 dozen grams of cocaine inside a residence.

According to a news release, officers executed a search warrant Wednesday on Garmon Avenue and discovered 35 grams of cocaine, $3,000 in cash, a marijuana grinder and pipe.

Brandy Anderson, 35, was arrested and charged with first-degree trafficking of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Glasgow Police Officer Tery Flatt says cocaine averages at about $100 per gram, making the street value of the cocaine seized would have totaled around $3,500.
