LEXINGTON, Ky. – A man is accused of spiking chocolate milk with methamphetamine, reportedly causing multiple people to become ill in Lexington.

According to a uniform citation, 34-year-old Eric Rhule of Monticello, Kentucky was viewed on surveillance on Wednesday placing suspected methamphetamine into a container of chocolate milk at a men’s recovery center.

Authorities say at least five victims drank from the container and became ill.

When confronted by a probation officer, authorities say Rhule was found to possess substances believed to be suboxone and methadone.

Rhule was placed into custody and transported to the Fayette County Detention Center. Rhule is charged with second-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (less than 2 grams of methamphetamine) and second-degree possession of a controlled substance.
