Louisville warehouse fire

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WLKY) – A three-alarm fire raged at a warehouse in the Smoketown neighborhood in Louisville on Monday.

The first call came in just after 4 p.m., and the fire quickly grew to three alarms with about 100 firefighters on the scene.

Fire crews initially attempted to fight the blaze from inside but quickly determined it was best to contain the fire outside.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time.

Wayside Christian Mission owns the warehouse and they say that nobody worked in the building, but the facility was used for storage.

Fire crews were on the scene overnight and into this morning to ensure the fire did not reignite.
