Logan County child found unresponsive in family pool
LOGAN COUNTY, Ky. – The Logan County Sheriff’s office responded to a home near the Epley Baptist Church on Monday after receiving a call that a 3-year-old was found in the bottom of a family pool unresponsive and not breathing, according to a news release.
CPR was started and the child was transported to Logan Memorial by EMS, where life saving measures were performed and eventually the child was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where the child remains in critical condition, according to the release.
The incident is being investigated by the Logan County Sheriff’s Department in conjunction with the Department of Community Based Services.
The sheriff’s office was assisted on scene by Logan County EMS, Lewisburg Rural Fire and Chaplain Humble. The investigation is still ongoing.
