Local shelter receives money for spay/neuter program

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green/Warren County Humane Society has received $2,500 to go toward its spay/neuter program.
The money was discussed during Warren County Fiscal Court on Friday and comes from license plates residents buy to support the non-profit.
The license plates can be purchased at the Warren County courthouse and the money raised goes to the spay/neuter program.
There are an abundance of animals worldwide and only so many homes for the pets to go, according to Lorri Hare, the director of the Bowling Green/Warren County Humane Society.
If you would like, you can also donate to your local shelter with money, laundry detergent, pet supplies, blankets, towels and more.
