Local schools need help donating turkeys to students in need

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- With Thanksgiving coming up, some families are struggling to provide a turkey dinner for their kids.

The Warren County Public Schools hopes to help by collecting turkeys to help feed families in need for Thanksgiving.

This is a yearly donation the schools do for families, but with COVID causing rising prices and stores to refuse bulk orders, the school needs the public’s help.

Currently the school has about 280 turkeys and are hoping to have a total of 360, according to Todd Hazel, the WCPS Student Services Director.

If you are interested in donating, you can drop of a turkey at your local Warren County Public School.

If you and your family are in need of a turkey, contact your schools family resource center.
