Local nonprofit blends art with accessibility during ‘Arts for All’ program

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One Kentucky organization is creating opportunities for people with disabilities through the power of art.

Arts for All is an educational program that provides creative experiences for individuals with disabilities of all ages.

Today, the organization hosted its annual art workshop, where community members gathered to paint “Ash Trees in the Fall.”

Organizers say events like these help foster creativity, build confidence and strengthen connections throughout the community.

Lindsey Chaffin-Scott, manager for the Center for Accessible Living, says, “It is important to have events like this where people can come together, and they share a safe space and celebrate talented artists, break down barriers, but most importantly remind the community and the participants that art isn’t exclusive, that art really does belong to everyone.”
