Local legislators support South Central Kentucky economic development growth

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Bowling Green Area chamber of commerce held a luncheon today at the NCM Motorsports Park to show appreciation for funding for the Regional Development Agency Assistance Program (RDAAP.)

The chamber honored legislators’ continued support to South Central Kentucky Economic Development.

The funding is one of the main reasons that the community is, and remains, attractive to major companies, like CROWN Cork & Seal. The money helps the community be successful and provide numerous jobs.

Legislator Bart Rowland told us more about what specifically the money goes towards.

“These dollars are specifically to be used for economic development that can only go to those industrial development authorities in those 38 counties and it’s used to either supplement existing economic development projects in those counties or to help foster new ones by developing industrial parks, constructing buildings, or helping existing industries.”

Rowland says that he thinks the continued growth in Bowling Green is because of great leadership and planning over the last decade.
