There has been a big shift in the guidelines set out by the American Academy of Pediatrics when it comes to keeping kids safe in and around water.

It’s a change all parents should know about and it comes as we head into Memorial Day and the unofficial start of the summer vacation which, for many families, centers around pools, lakes and oceans.
