Leitchfield woman arrested on DUI charge with five-year-old juvenile in car

LEITCHFIELD, Ky. – A Leitchfield woman was arrested Thursday after a traffic stop.
The Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Thursday, April 7 around 10:34 p.m. concerning a silver Chevy Cruze driving erratically at the intersection of US 31-W and KY HWY 101.
A deputy located the vehicle in Brownsville city limits and observed it cross the center line, exhibit hard braking and erratic driving.
A traffic stop was initiated. The driver of the vehicle, Sarah T. Harrison, 26, of Leitchfield, had a five-year-old juvenile in the backseat of the vehicle, according to a release by Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office.
Harrison was arrested after exhibiting signs of intoxication and after SFSTs were performed, stated the release.
Harrison was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/substance (1 st), wanton endangerment (1 st), resisting arrest and careless driving.
Harrison was lodged in Hart County Jail.
