Law enforcement officers read to children online
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Local law enforcement leaders are protecting and serving in a different way now that we are in the midst of a pandemic.
Chief Giles Taylor of the Morgantown Police Department along with Edmonson County Sheriff Shane Doyle are among those virtually reading to kids.
Once a week, each agency’s top cop posts a video to social media reading short children’s books.
The posts are generating thousands of views.
The two say they hope to bring some happiness and unity to the children in their communities.
Both Taylor and Doyle plan to continue reading to children until social distancing regulations come to an end.
