KYTC release Monday update on roadway closings, re-openings

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (June 29, 2026) – Following a weather system that brought heavy rain and severe weather to the District 3 area overnight Friday through Sunday, multiple roads remain impassable due to flooding.

The list below is the current list of known flooded state roads at the time of the release. Conditions change rapidly and roads may become impassable before an updated list can be sent. This list does not contain city or county-maintained roads that may be impassable.

Please do not attempt to drive through possible high water. Please do not drive around or move barricades and signs. For road conditions across the Commonwealth, please visit GoKY.ky.gov.

Reeds Ferry – Closed

Rochester Ferry – Closed

KY 2269 – REOPENED

KY 2713 – REOPENED

Edmonson County

KY 187 Mile Point 3.0- The bridge over Sunfish Creek has been damaged and is closed until an assessment can be conducted and repairs can be made.

KY 238 – Closed at mile point 9.6

KY 655 – Closed at mile point 2 to 3

Logan County

KY 3201 – REOPENED

KY 1153 – Closed at mile point 3.5

Metcalfe County

U.S. 68 – REOPENED

KY 640 –Closed at mile point 14.5

KY 543 – REOPENED

KY 1048 – Closed at mile point 0.3

Monroe County

KY 214 Ferry – The KY 214 ferry at Turkey Neck Bend is currently closed due to debris in the water.
