Kentucky State Police hosts Cram the Cruiser

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Kentucky State Police are hosting a fundraiser to collect food for locals in need.

This two-week long food drive campaign, Cram the Cruiser, has been going on since 2010 to collect food to supply area food pantries and people in need.

The food is distributed to make sure families have food to fill their stomachs over the holiday season, including veterans.

Over the years, the campaign has developed into a friendly competition among Kentucky State Police posts, but the main goal for KSP is to help their communities.

“It’s important this time of the year to make sure everybody’s able to have a holiday meal, able to have food, you know, as it gets colder. And over the last year, a lot of these pantries have been hit pretty hard. So we’re just trying to do our part to build these pantries back up,” said Priddy.

You can drop donations off at Post 3 on Nashville Road or at one of the upcoming Cram the Cruiser events on December 1 at Walmart in Russellville or on the 4 at Walmart in Glasgow and Sam’s in Bowling Green.
