Kentucky hospital forced to lock down, Bowling Green man fears for son inside the building

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green father went through a kind of fear no one should ever experience after a man with firearms, body armor and possible explosives prompted a Kentucky hospital to go under lockdown today with his son inside.

According to police, officials were informed that Bryan Carroll was headed to the University of Kentucky hospital and could be armed and dangerous.

Multiple first responders were on scene along with people dressed in bomb suits and a bomb disposal robot.

Police found the man as he was leaving the hospital and took him into custody immediately.

He had firearms, body armor and explosive devices on his person along with explosives inside his vehicle.

One Bowling Green man said his son was just floors above where the incident occurred.

Carroll is now facing multiple local and federal charges.
