Kentucky Grand Hotel held ribbon cutting for their restaraunt
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Kentucky Grand Hotel held a ribbon cutting today in honor of being in operation for five years and to celebrate re-opening following COVID-19.
The Kentucky Grand Hotel is a locally owned and operated establishment that has been in operation since 2016.
Because of the Covid-19 restrictions, both the bar and the restaurant had been closed to the public for around a year and just re-opened two weeks ago.
The restaurant also has a new name, the Kentucky Grand Restaurant.
The Derby Piano and Dessert Bar name will remain the same, according to Dan Murph, the owner of the Kentucky Grand Hotel.
“It’s kind of been kind of a slow roll out on purpose trying to get servers back and we’ve been very blessed that most all of our employees waited to come back and that’s a big testament, I believe, to the culture that we have created here with our workers so we are really proud of that. Having this outdoor courtyard venue provides just one more thing for people, one more reason for people to come downtown and enjoy the atmosphere,” said Murph.
The owner says re-opening includes new menu items as well.
