Kentucky Fraternal Order of Police endorses Cameron for Attorney General

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Kentucky Fraternal Order of Police has announced which candidate it plans to support as the state’s next attorney general.

The Kentucky FOP has endorsed Republican nominee Daniel Cameron for the position, and Cameron visited Bowling Green on Friday to visit with the local chapter and accept their endorsement.

Bowling Green FOP President Shawn Helbig said their organization has full confidence in Cameron.

“As we’ve said many times before, we see Daniel as the future of Kentucky and law enforcement for sure,” he said. “He’s promised us an open door – not just to the FOP, but to law enforcement across the state.”

Cameron said it was a privilege to receive the order’s support.

“It is an extreme honor to have them supporting us because it says that this campaign is going to work for them not only before November 5th, not only on November 5th, but after the November 5th election when I’m the next attorney general here in the Commonwealth,” said Cameron.

Cameron is running against Democrat Greg Stumbo in the November election.
