K9s and owners team up to battle Cancer
More than three dozen canines and their owners teamed up Saturday in Bowling Green to battle a deadly disease.
The American Cancer Society held its 4th annual Bark for Life walk at the HP Thomas Bark Park.
In addition to a stroll around the park, there were games, a silent auction, K9 competitions and more.
All of the money raised from the event will fund cancer research, for both humans and even our furry friends.
"It’s incredibly special," said Jill Isom, with the American Cancer Society. "Everyone out here is a dog lover and these dogs are part of our families. If we can give back in some way to them, I think it’s fantastic."
This was the first year the event was held at the HP Thomas Bark Park. In year’s past, Bark for Life took place at Covington Woods Park.
