‘It was amazing’: Louisville Orchestra, Yo-Yo Ma bring music to Mammoth Cave

MAMMOTH CAVE, Ky. – Mammoth Cave National Park had a special musical performance this past weekend from the Louisville Orchestra with special guest Yo-Yo Ma.
Thanks to a ticket lottery in January, about 500 lucky guests could attend Saturday, April 29.
Officer Molly Schroer says they received applicants from as far off as Europe to attend. The park says the music for this event was created by Louisville Orchestra musical director Teddy Abrams, who was inspired by “the geology, biology and more than 4,000-year human history” of the cave.
However, you don’t have to miss out on the experience.
The park says everyone will get an opportunity to see the performance. This is made possible since the Louisville Orchestra’s team took hundreds of hours of video and thousands of photographs.
A release date has not yet been made available at this time.
