Wku Track

On the day’s events, head coach Brent Chumbley said “We had a lot of good performances today, a lot of PRs. Highlight is probably Katie with a PR and school record of 1.86 in the high jump. This moves her to second in the East Region and fourth in the nation right now. Looking forward to a weekend off before our final run towards Conference USA Championships.”

The women’s high jump squad once again took center stage for the Red and White, claiming the top three spots in the event led by Katie Isenbarger who smashed the previous school record of 1.82 meters. Emilia Lesniak and Grace Turner rounded out the top three for WKU.

On the track, Kameron Horton had a successful day, setting a new PR in the 110 meter hurdles and taking first place in the 100 meter dash. Gianna Huerta set new bests in both the 100 and 400 hurdles. Her 400 Hurdles finish was good enough for seventh place.
