Practice makes perfect: Serena’s serve leads to win in Paris

PARIS (AP) — Serena Williams had her serve back in good working order and that helped her get back to the third round of the French Open. Williams started serving well right from the outset and while she did have some lapses that stroke did help her eventually get past Mihaela Buzarnescu 6-3, 5-7, 6-1 at Court Philippe Chatrier on Wednesday. It was a good day for Americans. Williams will play Danielle Collins of the U.S. for a spot in the fourth round. And American men John Isner, Reilly Opelka and Marcos Giron all won to get to the third round, too.
