INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Michael Shank spent more than two decades trying to get to the top levels of competitive racing and found the path into IndyCar harder than expected. But 10 years after he first tried to launch a team he finally has his first win. It was a big one, too. Helio Castroneves won the Indianapolis 500 driving for Meyer Shank Racing for the biggest moment of Shank’s career. The team fields just one full-time car and added Castroneves for six races this season as it slowly tries to expand its operation.
