Visiting teams are holding their own in the NHL playoffs even with fans returning in large numbers to fill arenas. Capacities of the teams left vying for the Stanley Cup range from 2,500 in Montreal to over 18,000 in Las Vegas. Players are enjoying having fans back after the 2020 bubble playoffs went on in empty buildings. With their return came the natural desire to silence a home crowd when on the road. The biggest key to playing good road hockey has been scoring first. The visiting team scored first in 23 of 32 road wins so far in the playoffs through two rounds.
