NASCAR All-Star race will be Texas-sized sendoff for Gossage

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — NASCAR is running its All-Star race in the Lone Star State. The six-segment, 100-lap race Sunday night will provide quite a way to mark the 25th season of racing at Texas Motor Speedway. It also will be a sendoff for track president and showman Eddie Gossage in his last race after overseeing the track since its groundbreaking in 1995. Chase Elliott is the defending All-Star race winner, and he also won the Cup title last season. This is the third different track in three years to host the All-Star race.
