Manchester City stayed 10 points clear in the Premier League with a 1-0 victory at Arsenal that extended the winning run of Pep Guardiola’s team to 18 games in all competitions. Guardiola’s great managerial rival Jose Mourinho conceded his Tottenham team is unlikely to finish in the top four after a 2-1 loss at West Ham. It was a fifth defeat in six games for Tottenham as it dropped to ninth place. It was exactly three months ago that Tottenham was beating City to go top of the league and leave Guardiola questioning the direction he was taking his then-midtable team. There were also wins for Manchester United and Leicester.
