BRUSSELS (AP) — EU foreign ministers are calling for a cease-fire to end fighting between the Israeli army and Palestinian militants amid concern that the conflict might spread. French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian says “each day brings greater risks: the risk of the conflict spreading to the West Bank, the risk of violence inside Israel itself, the risk that the conflict becomes a regional one.” The EU also wants to see long-stalled peace moves resume. More than 220 people have been killed in the conflict, now in its second week. Airstrikes and rocket attacks between Israel and the Palestinians continued Tuesday.
