Brooksby, 20, heads to Paris, 2 years after a US Open splash

American tennis player Jenson Brooksby is excited about where he is and eager to see where he’s headed. The 20-year-old from Sacramento, California, is entered in the qualifying event at the French Open this week. He has been tearing up the lower-level ATP Challenger Tour this season and now he is looking for more. Brooksby is 19-2 with three titles and his ranking has risen from 315th in February to 163rd on Monday. He says he wants to be No. 1 in the rankings eventually. He made a splash at the 2019 U.S. Open, qualifying for the field and then beating 2010 Wimbledon finalist Tomas Berdych.
