3-time U.S. Olympic hockey medalist Kacey Bellamy retires

Three-time Olympian Kacey Bellamy is retiring. Bellamy turned 34 in April. Bellamy says she knows this is the right decision but it is difficult to leave the game of hockey. The Massachusetts native says she’s ready to start the next chapter in her life. Bellamy helped the United States win its first Olympic gold medal in 20 years at the 2018 Winter Olympics. She also won silver in 2010 and 2014. The defender also played in nine International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Championships, winning eight golds.
