Hot Rods host Annual Media Day

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Hot Rods hosted their annual media day today.

While there is no roster just yet, the team introduced two of the players, as well as new manager Rafael Valenzula.

Valenzula is the eighth manager in Hot Rods history at the age of 35.

The 2021 FCL Manager of the Year boasts an 81-31 record in two years with the FCL Rays.

While Valenzula has not spent a lot of time in Bowling Green, he knows the work starts up right away.

“You want to get comfortable with the city, you want to be able to explore,” Valenzula said. “But you know, you’re here for three quick days and then you got to get on the road again. But again, excited, especially to get rolling.”

Opening Day for the Hot Rods is this Thursday when they visit the Asheville Tourists.
