Handbags for Hope silent auction benefits United Way

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Purse aficionados have patiently waited for Thursday’s U.S. Bank Handbags for Hope event benefiting United Way of Southern Kentucky.

An online silent auction began August 5th and ended Wednesday. Thursday the live auctions and premier silent auctions took place.

The United Way hopes to raise more than $100,000.

Proceeds will be used to pay for early childhood education and kindergarten readiness.
