Half price adoptions at Clear the Shelters

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Clear the Shelters went on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at multiple animal shelters around the South Central Kentucky region.

Hundreds of people went through participating humane societies to check out and adopt dogs, cats, bunnies, hamsters, pigs and more.

The shelters offered half price adoptions to encourage people to give furry friends a forever home.

“Clear the Shelter event is a yearly event that we do and it helps get our animals, cats, dogs, bunnies, everything adopted, and starts to clear up the space for more animals and helps us save lives. It helps saving the lives of many loving pets and it opens up space for many more lives,” said adoption counselor Amanda Brooks.

Shelters that participated in the day include the Bowling Green/Warren County Humane Society, Barren River Animal Welfare Association, Logan County Humane Society, Arabian Rescue Mission Inc., and Sugarfoot Farm Rescue.
