Gun Range Stabbing Ends In Fatal Shooting

Las Vegas police officer and three civilians open fire on screwdriver-wielding man after he stabs a second officer in gun range parking lot. KSNV's Gabby Hart reports.

(KSNV/NBC News) — A police officer is recovering from injuries and a man is dead following a shooting Wednesday afternoon at a Las Vegas gun range.

Investigators say the man entered the Range 702 gun range shortly after noon began causing a disturbance.

Staff asked the man to leave, and several people inside the range followed him to the parking lot.

When two Las Vegas Metro Police officers arrived and began questioning the man, he drew a screwdriver and stabbed one of them.

That officer’s partner and three civilians from inside the gun range then opened fire, killing the man.
