Gun and ammo sales spike seems to be ending
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Gun and ammo sales across the country spiked amid the pandemic but are easing their way back to normal for one gun shop in Southcentral Kentucky.
The owner of Sherwood’s Guns in Bowling Green, Sherwood Davis, says changes came after the Governor began closing much of the state.
That week, gun and ammo sales skyrocketed.
Sherwood’s even had to put a limit on ammo purchases.
The following week, sales were just above average.
Now, gun and ammo sales are balancing back to pre-pandemic rates according to Davis.
While Sherwood’s remains open for sales, their gun range is closed to the public.
