Glasgow man accused of burglarizing Barren County church
GLASGOW, Ky.- A Glasgow man has been charged with third-degree burglary after authorities said he broke into a church.
The incident happened Monday at Loving Springs Baptist Church on Park City Glasgow Road.
According to an arrest citation, Jeremy Harper, 40, was hiding in one of the church’s restrooms when authorities arrived. Deputies said Harper entered through the back door of the building, but tried to gain access through the front door by throwing rocks at the glass.
Deputies said Harper was under the influence of methamphetamine and admitted to using the drugs.
Harper is also charged with first-degree criminal mischief, public intoxication and criminal trespassing.
Harper is lodged in the Barren County Regional Jail where he’s being held on a $5,000 bond.
