Glasgow High School football player signs with Alabama

GLASGOW, Ky.- Glasgow High School senior, Tanner Bowles, signed his letter of intent to play football for the University of Alabama today.

Bowles received dozens of offers from universities all around the country, but he is excited to play for the division one school.

Bowles was named the district player of the year in both 2017 and 2018.

Bowles also led the Glasgow Scotties to district championships for the past three years and a regional championship in 2017.

This year he was named fourth region Athletic Directors Association football player of the year.

“It’s a great feeling knowing that I get to compete with some of the best players in the nation. Carrying that over to Alabama and possibly winning a few more championships, that’s something special to me,” said Bowles

Bowles starts at the University of Alabama in January. He plans to study Civil Engineering.
