George Fant’s celebrity softball tournament raises funds for Fant Foundation and Boys to Men
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – In the first Dream Big Camp Celebrity Softball Game the green team, captained by former Western Kentucky University standout and current New York Jet George Fant, defeated the White team, captained by WKU basketball’s all-time leading scorer, Courtney Lee.
With fun and competition at the forefront of Saturday night’s festivities, it was also centered around the Dream Big Camp concept to encourage young men to strive for success.
The game was a fundraiser for the Fant Foundation which sponsors the Dream Big Camp that began Friday, and local leadership organization, Boys to Men.
Along with national and local celebrities, the real stars of the event were the young men present.
Many of the children from the Boys to Men group were able to chat it up with NFL stars and teammates of Fant, like Jarran Reed of the Kansas City Chiefs, Mekhi Becton of the New York Jets and local WKU alum like Lee, Justin Johnson, Jared Savage and many more.
Hundreds of people attended the event. On the back of Saturday night’s success, Fant plans to continue this event for years to come.
