Funding for Aviation Heritage Museum halfway done, donations still needed
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Aviation Heritage Park is about halfway done with raising funds to build a museum on the grounds.
The park is and the 11,000 square foot museum will be an educational center where people of all ages can come and learn about aviators.
Construction crews began working on the museum in December.
The project is costing around $2.5 million, all funded through donations.
The museum will have classrooms and a flight simulator as well as a gift shop.
The entrance fee has not yet been set for the museum, but park officials say it could be a donation-based entry fee and the museum is expected to be completed by the end of the calendar year.
