First responders show support to area hospital
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – When healthcare workers hear sirens outside a hospital, it usually means they’re receiving a patient in distress.
Those sirens took on a different meaning Sunday night.
Members of the Bowling Green Police Department and the Bowling Green Fire Department drove around the campus of TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital to show their appreciation to the hospital’s staff in light of the COVID-nineteen pandemic.
Keith Cassady, a nurse working in the emergency department at TriStar Greenview says when the hospital staff sees the first responders showing their support, it “overwhelms our hearts.”
The event was just the latest in showings of support by members of the community. Two weeks ago, Crossland Community Church led caravans to both Tristar Greenview and The Medical Center at Bowling Green for prayer and music.
