Farmers RECC announces full power restoration

GLASGOW, Ky. – Farmers Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation is thanking employees for restoring power.

Storms on May 26 left over 6,000 members without power, the company says. Farmers RECC announced Wednesday afternoon that crews have completed 137 outage repairs, fully restoring power to those who can be restored.

The company says it wants to publicly thank its entire employee team, as well as members for their support.

Farmers RECC further stated it wants to thank the following:

  • Its linemen for their tireless diligence and dedication to our members.
  • Its member service representatives, who it says answered member questions with the utmost degree of professionalism.
  • The team who kept everyone fed and basic needs met, saying they couldn’t have managed without them.
  • Its dispatching team for keeping restoration moving efficiently.
  • Its fleet and warehousing personnel for keeping trucks running and stocked.
  • The members of its team who handled daily tasks so the majority could focus on storm restoration.
  • Great Southwestern Construction, Townsend Tree Service, 5 Star Electric, LLC. and Kendall Vegetation Services for mutual aid.
  • Directors, media partners, local businesses and residents who offered help in any way.
  • Their families who have to miss family time and holidays with loved ones when the lights go out.

Farmers RECC says this is the final outage update related to Sunday’s storms.
