Empty the Shelters returns to Bowling Green, Glasgow in May

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Empty the Shelters is marking a decade this year, and it’s returning to Bowling Green and Glasgow starting this May.
According to the Bissell Pet Foundation, the Spring National Adoption Event is taking place from May 1-17. During this time, the Bissell Pet Foundation is sponsoring reduced adoption fees at select shelters to encourage the community to find a friend at a local shelter.
Both the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society and Barren River Animal Welfare Association will be taking part this year, according to Bissell’s website.
Other Kentucky locations include the Lexington Humane Society, Leitchfield Animal Shelter, the Kentucky Humane Society and many more.
Each organization will follow its own adoption procedures. To learn more, contact your respective shelter.
