ELPO, Cotton BBQ host community event to support tornado victims

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – From 11 a-m to 3 p-m — ELPO Law and Cotton BBQ donated meals to first responders and those affected by the tornado.

Cotton barbeque supplied over 400 meals, more than what ELPO and Cotton anticipated.

To ELPO Managing Partner Bob Young, this was the law firm’s duty to help the community.

“Here at ELPO, we consider ourselves to be a community partner,” Young said. “And we’ve had a lot of people that have been impacted by the storm that are on our team, but we’re having resources that others don’t have. And so you know that the ability for us to be able to give back to the community, not only monetarily, but also to work with Eric Cotton who put this program in place to fade the purchase monitors and the utility people are trying to get the power back on.”

At noon, ELPO, alongside Stuff the Bus, raised $26,000 in tornado relief funds. ELPO is dedicated to donating $20,000 more to tornado relief.
