Elementary schools host drive through Christmas parades

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Local elementary schools held Christmas drive through parades for students and teachers to wave to one another in person over the past few days.

Friday afternoon, Warren Elementary teachers made signs and dressed up for Christmas, lining part of the parking lot.

Then, parents and students rode in cars through the row of teachers to wave to them and gave each other well wishes for the holidays.

At the end of the wave parade, Santa was waiting with candy to hand to the children.

This event was put together to put a smile on both students’ and educators’ faces after a difficult and distant year.
