Police: Driver caught ignoring school bus’s stop arm

Police in Missouri are looking for the driver of a car who they said made the conscious decision to break the law and put young lives in serious jeopardy, and the entire episode was all caught on camera.

The surveillance video from the school bus showed the school bus come to a stop, the stop sign arm going out and a car that had been approaching the bus stopped.

But the video showed the car behind the stopped vehicle driving up on the grass and sidewalk, swerving around a parked car and speeding around the stopped school bus.

Police said this happened near an elementary school this Thursday morning in Ballwin, Mo.

If children had been approaching the bus from any of the houses on the left, it could’ve been tragic, police said.

Ballwin police are hoping someone recognizes the driver and turns that person in.
