BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Saturday is the first annual Drive Up for Down Syndrome event at the National Corvette Museum.
People can bring their car of any kind for the event’s first car and vendor show. All proceeds from a $25 entry fee for cars goes towards the Down Syndrome of South Central Kentucky organization.
Vendors set up at 8:30 a.m., car registration begins at 9 a.m. and the event opens to the public at 10 a.m. Admission is free to spectators.
There will be trophies for different classes, a 50/50 raffle, vendors, food trucks and more.
The Buddy House’s Executive Director Stephanie Morton said why this event is so special.
“You’re just supporting an organization that gives to the community, gives to the Down Syndrome community. It helps them, their families, helps them become more independent and helps them become thriving members of such a great community that Bowling Green is,” said Morton.
