Downtown traffic survey will help make downtown more traffic friendly

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The recent downtown traffic survey has allowed the City of Bowling Green to better understand the needs of its downtown area.

The influx of traffic from having a festival and a Hot Rods game on the same day allowed for useful data, mainly on ease of access and parking availability. This will help the city decide how they should go about updating directional and parking signage so that travelers and residents are able to more easily navigate Downtown during high traffic times.

“We want our own residents to feel like downtown is welcoming for them. And…this is just a step one baseline to figure our, okay, it’s been over 10 years since we’ve built A, B, C, D, in this area, how is it now?” Telia Butler said.
