Craft gifts $100,000 for agricultural education in Barren County

BARREN COUNTY – Former U.S. Ambassador and Barren County native Kelly Craft is providing FFA chapters with a gift to provide agricultural education to students.

According to a release, Craft has gifted $100,000 to the newly established Kentucky FFA Foundation’s Forever Blue Endowment fund to benefit the Glasgow and Barren County FFA chapters in perpetuity.

The fund honors Craft’s father, Dr. B.A. Guilfoil, DVM, who was a long-time farmer and veterinarian in Barren County.

As part of the Forever Blue Program, donors can create endowed funds that provide ongoing support for Kentucky FFA programs.

According to the release, the gift will be distributed annually to Glasgow and Barren County FFA chapters to benefit students.
