Couples enjoy 8th Annual Romance at the RailPark

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Love is in the air once again, and this Valentine’s holiday, the Historic RailPark & Train Museum is pulling out all the stops.

Couples enjoyed the RailPark’s 8th annual “Romance at the RailPark” over the weekend. This year, the event’s theme is ‘Dirty Dancing’.

After watching the 80’s hit movie, lovers boarded the train at the RailPark for a night of dinner, followed by a dance choreographed by SOKY Dance Arts.

Young conductor Timothy Wiedemer said the neatest part is that, “You actually eat on the train, and there’s a bunch of decorations. During Halloween they decorate the train, but for this [event] I feel like they really try and set a mood.”

Development officer Jessica Warren added, “Couples are buying wine [provided by Reid’s Livery Winery] and taking it on the train with them. It has been so much fun!”

Warren said while tickets for this year’s Romance at the RailPark are sold out, another event is right around the corner.

You can dust off your putter and sign up for their Sip & Putt Scramble coming up March 4th.
