Man arrested during child sexual abuse material investigation in Warren County

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – A man is behind bars in Warren County in connection with a child sexual abuse material investigation.

According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, earlier this year, it investigated a reported shooting incident.

Authorities say during this investigation, detectives developed information leading to a separate investigation involving allegations of sexual materials involving a minor.

As a result, 25-year-old Carlos Escobar was arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

He remains at the Warren County Regional Jail on charges of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12 and possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12.

Additionally, Escobar has an active immigration hold placed by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, authorities say.
